Our BG-Sweetscent is a unique artificial odor that mimics scents found on human skin. The addition of this attractant makes mosquito traps highly attractive for host seeking female Asian tiger mosquitoes and yellow fever mosquitoes.
The pouch contains a patented formulation based on lactic acid developed by Biogents and mimics the human skin scent. A human’s skin scents are an important factor for mosquitoes to seek for and find their blood meal.
One BG-Sweetscent sachet is effective for up to two months. Afterwards it should be replaced.
BG-Sweetscent is to be used with mosquito traps that attract host-seeking mosquitoes (unlike the Biogents BG-GAT trap which attracts egg-laying mosquitoes).
The BG-Sweetscent is registered by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), registration number 87472-1 and is available throughout the US including California.
Important: Do not open the sachet!
The BG-Sweetscent can be placed inside the trap or under the roof depending on what trap model is used.
